Just so you can wile away the late summer doldrums, Minnie and I will share our adventure with you in a "Where's Waldo?" style format. The clues and answers to where we are and what we are doing will be revealed in slow and mysterious ways...
If you want something to do at this site you can try to figure out where Minnie Winnie (and hopefully it's numero uno occupant) might be and what we are doing. Or, you can just follow along using the "Cheat Map" and enjoy (I hope) the pictures on the "Hints Pages."
The (latest) planning basics for the adventure: 17 states, 7,392.4 miles, 54 days, 5 hours, 46 mins, 752.8 gals of petrol, 16 national parks, numerous state parks, a variety of other points of interest, untold pounds of propane, and undisclosed fifths. Subject to change based on whim and the people I meet.
Here's what I am thinking. I'll organize the entire adventure (and thus this site) by creating a "Hints Page" for each major stop along the way. Each stop/"Hints Page" may span multiple days and contain numerous activities. There might even be many mini-stops along the way to a major stop. Whenever I can, for each major stop I'll publish obscure photos of our current location and post clues about our whereabouts and doings on these "Hints Pages."
Associated with each "Hints Page" will be a "Discussion" board heading. Everyone can use the "Discussion" board to post your thoughts and ideas about what is going on with each of the "Hints Pages." Feel free to post your ideas under the appropriate headings. I'll also enter my thoughts on the "Discussion" board as well.
As you use the "Discussion" board to figure out and reveal your thoughts about each "Hints Page," I'll replace the obscure photos with more revealing ones and replace the clues with diary entries. This way there will be an ongoing record of the adventure by clicking through the "Hints Pages."
The "Cheat Map" is a pdf of the latest adventure routing. Don't look at it if you are trying to figure out the "Hints Pages."
